That being said, I did not stun guards even once during my first playthrough because I didn’t know it was possible until I looked at the achievements. The game does a good job at teaching a new mechanic by hinting towards it. It’s quite short and relatively easy once you understand it. As a bonus, there’s cookies to eat in every level. Your goal is to deliver presents without being caught. The gameplay may not be for everyone, especially when considering the fast-paced action that Cave Story had. Honestly, it could have been any world, but this choice doesn’t feel too offensive to me, but it feels like mild nostalgia bait.
